Key elements to consider when beginning to implement a website:

- What is the purpose of your site? Will it be advertising to new clients, information and tools for current clients, or an information tool for staff. The more clearly defined the purpose, the more effective the site will be.
- What pictures do you have available to you to use in the site? Begin compiling digital pictures now as the opportunity avails itself, or speak with dealers or other companies who may have images of products, jobsites or people that you can use. - Do you have a digital version of your logo? You own your logo, so obtain the original artwork from the designer if you do not have it already. Ask for the .ai, .eps, .psd files or other original format. This will assist in not having to recreate a high-resolution version later on.
- Do you have other graphic design pieces which need updating to reflect your new site design? Having a similar style between your website and business cards, letterhead, or brochures will help clients to visually associate you and these various tools.
